TEAL Heaven

"Everyday is a good day to be alive, whether the sun's shining or not." - Marty Robbins

Teal is a very versatile color than a bright summery turquoise. You can wear teal well into the fall with black, brown and other neutrals. It is the perfect blend of the warmth of late summer and coolness of early autumn. I went all out with teal in this outfit. I paired my teal shirt with a basic black denim and teal flats(gold detailing). Much love to my lovely sister Miss Priya Hirachan for the bag - teal of course. Is it a lit(teal) too much? :)

Here's to hoping you look absolutely gorgeous in this color. Let's enjoy Teal this fall.

Fall Love Affair

"Fall has always been my favourite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale." - Lauren DeStafano

This black single buttoned Boyfriend Blazer caught my eyes last fall and I completely fell in love. I knew no matter what i put it with, it would look good and i was hooked. It is so versatile and can be a great transitional piece from summer to fall. Throw it over your cute summer clothes and you are ready for fall. I paired mine with a simple tee and a peach denim shorts. Blazers aren't just for men anymore. Frankly speaking women are carrying it more upright than men and making a better use of the blazers. ;)

Here's to hoping you invest on a basic black Boyfriend Blazer because it is the most functional blazer a woman can own.

50's Dreaming

"Not caring how you look is but a brief step away from not caring what you do or how you treat people. And surely, if you treat yourself with contempt, you're going to have little thought, care or compassion for anyone else." - Lynda Lee Potter

I had to run errands with my sister today. So much to do so little time. Since I was going to be running around all day I opted for something comfortable to wear. Nautical cropped top,  high waisted tuxedo shorts and basic black flats - with a little red lipstick on. Doesn't it give a 50's vibe? Think Marilyn Monroe in the movie Some Like It Hot but with a 2011 touch. Anyways, the 50's style is making a comeback. So, get on board but don't forget to add in your own touch. Make it You and own it. :)

Here's to hoping you can revamp 1950's classics for 2011 effortlessly.

Hello Hand-me-down

"The most important thing is to enjoy your life - to be happy - it's all that matters." - Audrey Hepburn

I, as the youngest among 3 sisters, was the curse of the hand-me-down. If you are the youngest sibling, or a middle sibling or anywhere in the line up that isn't the first born, you know this feeling. I distinctly remember always saying to myself that when i grow up I AM NOT going to wear hand-me-down clothes. But this lime green high waisted shorts is the one hand-me-down I have no problem wearing. Why??? Well, it belonged to my Mother. It has seen better days. It did have to go through my two sisters before it was handed down to me. Now, that it is finally mine, I absolutely LOVE it.

Here's to hoping that you will be grateful and happy for a particular hand-me-down just as I am. Thank you Mommy. :)
